How to get to San Miguel de Allende

San Miguel de Allende is a small colonial town without its own airport. Students typically fly into one of two nearby airports and arrange a ground transfer from there.

From Querétaro Airport (AIQ)

About a 55-minute drive from San Miguel de Allende. Querétaro is the closer airport and usually the easier option.

From Leon Airport (BJX)

About a 75-minute drive from San Miguel de Allende. Leon is a close airport and a good option.

From Mexico City Airport (MEX)

About a 3.5-hour drive from San Miguel de Allende. Flights to MEX are often cheaper and can be worth the longer ground transfer.

Recommended transfer services

The following independent providers serve both airports. Pricing, scheduling, and booking are arranged directly between you and the provider — Habla Hispana does not book, bill, or commission these services. We simply recommend providers our students have used with good results.
